A tiny traditional home… or is it?

What we are going to show you today will absolutely astound you. We're taking a trip to Sao Paolo, Portugal to explore a home that combines unique minimalist style with Mother Nature herself. The Brazilian architects of Coletivo De Arquitetos created this home with a practical design and used wood, concrete, and glass to utilise as much space as possible.

So let's explore this beautiful piece of architecture together and see for yourself why this home is one of our favourites!

Simple and charming

Here we have the exterior of the home, and as we can see, space is certainly not an issue here. Simple, linear design defines this structure, and the colours contribute to an interesting character. The cream-coloured facade in combination with the deep wooden brown of the shudders and roof create a peaceful vibe, which is only amplified by the surrounding lush greenery.

Spacious garage

As if the entire structure's spaciousness wasn't enough, this home also comes fully equipped with an expansive garage–perfectly suitable to fit two average-sized cars. Or better yet, this space is perfect for setting up a small table and chair set to enjoy an outside brunch, and is also suited to house bikes.

Inner courtyard

Moving along the home, we find a secret inner courtyard specially designed for these inhabitants. The small patch of grass next to the patio area make a perfect spot for relaxing in the summer sun. And we just love this modern tiled mosaic as a garden piece!

Bright and open

Now we come to the interior. By investing in these high-quality materials, these architects stimulated the rather tight space and allowed a greater flow of energy to develop. The polished concrete floors and glass dining room table with accompanying soft cushioned chairs doors create a very well illuminated and modern space, while the floor-to-wall glass doors ensure a seamless transition between interior and exterior.

All in the details

Looking at the outside of the structure, we can see its innate beauty, but as a final point, we would like to show you that the real treats are hidden in the details of the interior. Here we have a close-up view of the gorgeous marble counter tops and modernly designed stainless steel sink. The view from the kitchen is a sight to behold, too. Each time these residents go to cook a meal, they are greeted with the calming presence of tall, luscious green leaves against a neutral backdrop.

If you liked this tour, then you're sure to love this modern Portuguese home, too!
