This incredible little apartment comprises a meagre 40 square metres of valuable floor space!. Working within very tight constraints, Rova BC applied their design ingenuity, crafting an innovative and beautiful solution to optimise the limited space.

The result is truly stunning: clever, fun, and sophisticated. It's hard to imagine a better outcome! Now let's step inside and make our way around this small abode to see the remarkable interior for ourselves…

The kitchen

Lets start in the kitchen – isn't the orchestration of materials just divine? Occupying the length of the back wall, the kitchen takes up as little space as possible. This back wall is refined and minimal, except for the incredible mosaic splash-back. White and timber sets a neutral back-drop for the wonderful pops of colour.

A subtle change in flooring delimits the kitchen, distinguishing without disconnecting. For more kitchen inspiration, take a look here!

The dining room

Pivoting around, we have a better view of the dining area. The gorgeous timber and white dining furniture is anchored to the equally gorgeous feature wall.

Donning the same timber and white as the dining furniture, the wall is hardly just a wall – it's a piece of art! It introduces a geometric patterning that is carried throughout the design.

The living room

Stepping into the living space, we have a view back towards the kitchen and also get our first sight of the bedroom. Cleverly employing a glass wall and a raised platform, the bedroom separates itself from the living area, while also lending the appearance of one larger space to the small living room.

We see the emergence of geometric patterning in both the floor run and the cushions. Often small spaces avoid colour and pattern, as not to clutter, but this design proves that refined and thoughtful patterning can be an asset.

The bedroom

The bedroom is as beautifully designed as each and every other space in the home. It's small but seriously stunning! The full-height timber wardrobe means everything can be neatly stored away and out of sight.

The use of lighting throughout the apartment is playful and elegant. Whether it's the wall mounted bedside lights or the consortium of hanging bulbs in the living room, everything is thoughtful and considered.

The bathroom

Our final port of call is the bathroom – completely separated from the other open-plan space, the bathroom attains its privacy. It is still just as interesting as the rest of the house, though!

Monochromatic mosaics are accompanied by a more restrained wall of elongated off-white tiles. A touch of timber, orchids, it has everything a bathroom needs and more.
