Complete renovation of a 50 m2 penthouse apartment located in the heart of the Gothic quarter, at the foot of the Via Laietana.
As it is a reduced space housing, the main objective of this project was to redistribute the rooms to achieve the maximum possible amplitude. The old partition walls were demolished and a new bathroom was created, integrating a small washing machine room from the old construction. The result was a modern attic with two bedrooms, a bathroom and a large living room with an open kitchen.
Original elements of the construction were conserved, such as the Catalan vaulted ceilings, as well as recovering part of the old flooring, the exposed work on the walls and the original carpentry by means of pickling.
All the electrical, plumbing and air conditioning installations were carried out by splitting. For the kitchen, made-to-measure furniture was built and all the electrical appliances were installed.
