PROJECTS

VISION

LIAG believes in an integrated approach to realise sustainable buildings with outstanding contemporary design. Today, we have realised and are realising many high profile projects in the Netherlands and abroad.

With a quality through quality approach, LIAG achieves excellence by taking meticulous steps through spatial organisation, floor plan development and sustainable architecture. Working in close contact with our clients we create buildings that contribute to society and reflect the client’s image.

Buildings must not be anonymous. A developed area or building has to contribute to a recognisable, enjoyable living and working atmosphere. LIAG chooses coherence in architecture, from the interior to urban development. Our architects have passed on tradition and knowledge to one another since 1919 and continually reinterpret it in an architectural, technical and social sense.

LIAG has an integrated quality control system, which includes a contact person who is always on hand, which enables us to guarantee continuity. Under the supervision of the project architects, the LIAG-team is responsible for the design and budgetary control until hand-over.

SCHOOL DESIGN

LIAG has built over 100 schools in its history. By doing so we have been involved in developing new spaces for a changing vision of educational buildings.

The very first school had traditional classrooms with rows of chairs and tables. Today schools in The Netherlands have developed further and are simulating reality as much as possible, especially in vocational education buildings. So, recently we have included workshops, hairdresser salons and other real working environments in our schools.

To reflect real working environments, it is especially asked that a challenging and stimulating environ-ment be provided. In 2009 our work was awarded with the prize for ‘Best school of The Netherlands’ and LIAG received an award for the project NBHW in Alkmaar as part of the European Architecture Award 2011 Energy + Architecture in March 2011.
